Questions families actually ask

Australian Labradoodle puppy FAQ.

How reservations work, what is included at go-home, health testing, visits, and daily life with a Blessed Day Doodles puppy. If your question is not here, ask Tera.

Availability & process

How do I reserve a puppy?
Start with the puppy application. If it looks like a fit, a $530 deposit (includes $30 sales tax) holds your spot. Puppies are selected in the order deposits are placed. The deposit is not refundable. You may move it to a different litter twice within a year of when the deposit is placed. After two moves, it is not transferable or refundable. The full reservation rules are in the terms and conditions.
How does the waiting list work?
Puppies are selected in the order deposits are placed. Once a litter is here, families choose in that same order. Tera retains veto power if a puppy would be a poor fit for a home — for example, a timid puppy going to a house with several rowdy, loud small children. See current puppies and the waitlist and upcoming and past litters for what is current.
How do families choose a puppy?
Families choose based on temperament and their interaction at the visit — not from photos alone. Photos help you fall in love; the visit is how you pick. Tera keeps veto power if she thinks a puppy would not be a good fit in a situation. If you have a preference for sex, color, coat, or size, put that on the application.
When do puppies go home?
Go-home is the Friday following their 8-week birthday. Tera confirms pickup details, records, and the puppy packet directly with each family.
Can I pick my exact puppy from photos?
Photos are not how a puppy is placed. You choose after meeting the litter, based on temperament and how you and the puppy interact. Tera can step in if a pairing would be unfair to the dog.

Price & what is included

How much does a puppy cost?
Most puppies are $3,000. Merles are $3,500. A $530 deposit (includes $30 sales tax) holds your spot.
What is included at go-home?
Every puppy goes home with 30 days of Trupanion pet insurance (starts immediately, no wait period), vaccination and deworming records, microchip information, the written 26-month health guarantee, a litter-scent blanket, toys, a collar, potty-training pellets, a grooming guide, helpful handouts, and a NuVet vitamins sample. A starter bag of Fromm Puppy Gold goes home if needed.
Do you offer a health guarantee?
Yes. Every Blessed Day Doodles puppy is covered by a written 26-month genetic health guarantee — just over two years. Families have 5 business days after pickup to see a vet. Lifetime support is included. If a family cannot keep a dog, Tera will assist with rehoming rather than leaving you to figure it out alone. Read the plain-language version on the health guarantee page.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash or PayPal. You can pay through a payment plan if you buy through Good Dog; there is an additional fee for that option.

Visits, pickup & delivery

Can we visit before deciding?
Visits are by appointment only. Blessed Day Doodles is a family home, not a public kennel. Read the visitor and pickup policy and send a note with the litter you are considering.
Do you ship or deliver puppies?
Most families pick up in Harrisonville, Missouri. Puppies are never shipped as cargo. A flight nanny flies puppies in-cabin to their destinations. Tera occasionally meets families within a 1–2 hour radius of Harrisonville; there is a gas fee for those meets.
What should we bring at pickup?
Plan on a secure crate or carrier for the ride home, and leave time to go through records, food, and the written guarantee. The go-home folder already includes vaccination records, Trupanion, the health guarantee, microchip info, a grooming guide, and handouts.

Health & breeding program

What health testing do your parent dogs have?
Every parent dog is OFA tested for hips, elbows, patellas, heart, and eyes, plus DNA. DNA panels run through Animal Genetics or Orivet / Paw Print Genetics before a dog joins the breeding program. Parent pages list available health details, and Tera can answer questions about a specific pairing before you reserve.
Are puppies vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped?
Yes. NeoPar at 5 weeks, DAPPV at 7 weeks. Dewormed at 3, 5, and 7 weeks. Every puppy is microchipped before go-home. Families should schedule a vet visit within 5 business days of pickup.
What if we cannot keep the dog later?
Tera offers lifetime support and will assist with rehoming for the life of the dog. Reach out to her first.
Are your dogs registered?
Blessed Day Doodles does not register with ALAA, WALA, ALCA, or similar clubs. Families can request a pedigree once proof of spay/neuter is submitted. The program is Good Dog certified (Tera also advertises there) and uses Avidog temperament assessments plus Early Neural Stimulation on every litter.

Life with the puppy

Are Australian Labradoodles good with kids and other dogs?
Tera describes her dogs as people-oriented, social, and affectionate. Puppies spend their first four weeks in the house with the Mueller family and their five kids, then move to the barn for a larger play area. If you are out of the home five days a week, she strongly suggests doggy daycare — Australian Labradoodles are very social and thrive with other dogs and people.
Are they really non-shedding or hypoallergenic?
No dog is hypoallergenic. Doodles are often better than regular dogs and have natural oils in the coat that reduce dander, but everyone has a different allergy threshold. A Blessed Day Australian Labradoodle may work fine for one person and not for someone with more sensitive allergies. Multigens are the better option over F1 or F1b — farther from a shedding dog, with generation after generation of low-shedding coats. Tera does not claim any dog is non-shedding. Even poodles shed; the hair mats in the coat. Doodles are the same. See the breed guide.
What food do you recommend?
Puppies are raised on Fromm Puppy Gold. Tera sends a starter bag if needed so the first week is not a food change.
How often should we groom, and which brush do you use?
Brush weekly. Professional groom every 8 weeks. Tera links the brushes she actually uses on her Amazon grooming list.
How do we start crate and potty training?
The go-home bag includes potty-training pellets and a litter-scent blanket. Keep the first week simple: one potty area, close supervision, and a crate or pen that feels like a rest routine — not a punishment. Read the potty training and crate training guides, then ask Tera what your puppy has already been practicing at pickup.

About Blessed Day Doodles

How long have you been breeding?
The Mueller family has been raising Australian Labradoodles since 2005 in Harrisonville, Missouri. Tera, Kyle, and their five kids raise puppies in the house until 4 weeks, then move them to the barn for a larger play area.
What size Australian Labradoodles do you raise?
Micro 10–18 lbs. Mini 15–25 lbs, up to 16 inches at the shoulder. Medium 26–45 lbs, up to 18 inches at the shoulder. Adult size is estimated from the parents' weight range. Blessed Day no longer breeds standards.
Are your litters multigen, or do you ever do F1 / F1b?
The program sticks with multigenerational Australian Labradoodles. Tera will occasionally have an F3 litter. She does not do F1 or F1b — multigen is more allergy-friendly than F1b, so that is what she breeds.
Where are you located, and what areas do you serve?
Blessed Day Doodles is based in Harrisonville, Missouri, south of Kansas City. Most families pick up in person; a flight nanny flies puppies in-cabin to families farther away. See the service area for city pages.
What is a guardian home?
The parent dog lives with a family. Once health testing is passed, she returns to Tera for breeding, then again about 9 weeks later for whelping. The litter is raised in the Mueller home and the mom returns to her family once her puppies are weaned. Read the Guardian Home Program if you are curious about hosting a parent dog.

We could not be happier with our sweet girl Kai. She has been the best addition to our family. Thank you for loving her before trusting us to do the same.

“It has taken me several days to figure out how to express just how blessed we feel to have found our fur baby at Blessed Day Doodles. We had been searching for three years to welcome a fur baby into our home after the passing of our older dogs. After COVID, the population of those scamming well-intentioned buyers — those whose hearts had been broken with the loss of a pet, or those just starting out — were being taken advantage of, requiring deposits without ever letting them visit or see the puppies. For three years we searched and were left heartbroken. Meeting Tera and finding Blessed Day Doodles have restored our trust in humanity and healed our hearts with a new beginning. I cannot recommend Blessed Day Doodles enough. They are a first-class run puppy paradise and we are furever grateful — already looking forward to purchasing another in a few years. Blessings to you all!”
